1. Cold Press Method : By Using HI-GRIP solution No. 1,2,3 & 4 under pressure.

2. Hot press Method  : By using HI-GRIP solution No. 4 & 5 under pressure in thermostatically electrically heated press.

Crowning Of Pulleys : care must be taken to keep the crown height at the minimum. Excessive crowning causes intolerable strain on the belt & shortens its life, the recommended crown height is 0.5mm per 100mm of the pulley width ie 0.5% to 0.75% of the pulley width.

1. Pulley ratio 1:1 Crowning of both the pulleys must be the same & equal to 0.5% of the width of the pulley.

2. Intermediate Pulley ratio : The Larger pulley should be flat. Larger pulley may be crowned but the amount of crowning must not exceed 0.25 inches.

3. High pulley Ratio : The small pulley must be flat. Larger pulley may be crowned but the amount of crowning must not exceed 0.25 inches.

4. Crossed Drives : Crown both pulleys.

5. Flanged Pulleys: Flanged pulleys should be avialble as far as possible. HI-GRIP belting has very good gripping power due to the high coefficient of friction fo the chrome leather/rubber surface, and consequently has a tendency to climb the edge of a flanged pulley in many cases where flanged pulleys cannot bre avoided , a narrow and thicker belt acn be used to overcome this Ensure correctly digned pulleys to eliminate the possible excessive rubbing at the edges of the belt on the flanges.

 Relation Of Belt width to pulley width : The width of the belt should always be less than that of pulley, following table may be used as a guide.
